Learn how to repair a non‑responsive electric rear liftgate on Audi A6 (C7), A7, and A8 (D4) by fixing the Renesas D70F3373 MCU using CGDI CG100X programmer.
Problem Overview
On Audi A6 (C7), A7, and A8 (D4) models, a completely unresponsive electric rear liftgate is often caused by electronic control module failure rather than mechanical issues. Common causes include:
- Water damage
- Defective latch sensors
- Wiring faults
Solution
Instead of replacing the entire module, use CGDI CG100X and PRO V2 Cable to repair the Renesas D70F3373 MCU.

Repair Procedure
1.Disassemble the tailgate module to access the PCB

2.Use CG100X PRO V2 Harness to connect CG100X and D70F3373

Note: Cut a circuit section for access; weld back after repair
3.In CG100X software: go to “Programmer” → search “D70F3373” → read Pflash & Dflash data

4.Modify hex data manually to clear fault state
5.Write modified files back to MCU → reinstall module in the vehicle
Done!
