How to correct VW MQB48 5A R7F7014xx dashboard mileage by CGDI CG100X?

Step 1: Record the original mileage data
The original mileage value is 5000KM.
You can also use CG100X 35X-CAN Adapter and follow the Volkswagen MQB Power on interface diagram to start up the dashboard.
Step 2: Disassemble instrument
When disassembling, do not warp the board inside.
Please be careful to open the back cover needs to pull the dial wire.
Step 3: Connect CG100X and MQB48 5A dashboard
Connect CG100X and a PC via USB cable
Run CG100X software
Select European car>> Volkswagen MQB>> R7F7014xx- Removal of capacitor way>> R7F701407 (Only support 5A dashboard)
Pay attention to the difference between 5C and 5A
Locate the chip on the board and determine its silkscreen
If it starts with “EM” on the silkscreen, it is a 5A meter.
If it starts with “PCJ” on the silkscreen, it is a 5C meter.
Note: Only 5A meters are supported, 5C meters are not supported currently.
Follow the wiring diagram to connect CG100X D1 MQB Adapter and dashboard
Pay attention to the direction of the four corners of the D1 Adapter. Do not extend the wire harness of the D1 Adapter
Use the Pro V2 Harness to connect CGDI CG100X Programmer and dashboard properly, and also connect the supply power to CG100X
Step 4: Correct mileage
Keep the network connection is normal
Click “Start Operation”
Read R7F7014xx chip data and save it (remember the save path)
Do not interrupt the operation during decrypting data. Otherwise, the data may be lost.
Click “Modify mileage”
The software will show the current mileage, confirm if it is the same as the dashboard
Then input the target mileage that you want to modify (i.e. 65454 KM)
Wait a moment, and the mileage will be modified.
Step 5: Install the dashboard back into the car
After the mileage correction is completed, remove the CG100X Pro Adaptation Line and D1 Adapter, and install the dashboard back into the car. Start the car to check if the mileage is the same as the modified data in the CG100X software. You also can drive your car if need.
In this case, the new mileage on the dashboard is correct. (it’s 65454 KM).
Something important to know:
When modifying mileage, CGDI CG100X software will automatically analyze the mileage data. If the error is too large or the mileage is invalid, please cancel the modification operation and contact the CG Tech customer service for the first time. If there is no error or small error, then you can proceed to the next step, enter the new mileage value, and click “OK”. You should know that the MQB calculation needs to go to the server, so make sure the device is within the service date and connect the computer with the internet normally.
