Preparation:
Car: BMW M3 Coupe
Device:
CGDI BMW MSV80 key programmer
BMW F20 F30 F35 X5 X6 I3 test platform
BMW FEM/BDC module (need to be dismantled from the car before programming)
Procedure:
Step 1: Read 95128 chip Data
Open CGDI BMW software
Click on “95128/95256”
Select 95128 chip and click “Read” to read data
Read data successfully
Step 2: Read& write FEM/BDC data
Return to main menu and select “FEM/BDC Key Match”
Pay attention to the prompt “The current FEM BDC needs to update the ECU program before performing key matching. Please ensure that the car battery has enough power in the programming process. Please keep the equipment cable connection.”
Select the second way to read EEPROM:
Use EEPROM adapter to read FEM/BDC 8-pin chip data: Please remove the FEM/BDC from the car (must cut off power), and properly connect the adapter’s chip clip to the 95128/95256 chip of the FEM/BDC, then click the “Next” button
Disconnect the FEM/BDC power supply
Save the data read
Install the FEM/BDC into the car (the chip holder must be removed from the chip) and click the “Next” button
It will take about 1 minute to program ECU
Program ECU success
Use EEPROM adapter to restore FEM/ BDC
Write data success
Remove the chip clip from the chip
Coding is successful
Step 3: Program BMW F30 FEM key
Select “Generate dealer key”-> “Read working key”
Keep the original key near the key sensor area below the steering wheel
Read out the key password, ISN, key Sync code and DME ISN info
