Have a BMW 3 Series E92 EDC17C50. Use Flex Magic to lock this ECU on Bench, the password is protected, and then use CG FC-200 to unlock it in boot mode. Work perfectly.
1.Lock BMW EDC17C50 with Flex Magic
Quickly find BMW 3-Series (E92) by inputting bmw edc17c50 in the search box
Select BMW_BOSCH_EDC17C50_Fxx and BENCH connection type
Follow the wiring diagram to connect Flex Magic and ECU
Click “Connect” to start
The Magic lock function has been applied to this ECU, and the password is protected.
2.Unlock BMW EDC17C50 with CG FC200
Connect FC200 programmer to ECU and computer
Select BMW>> BOSCH EDC17C50 TC1797>> Platform
It failed to identify the ECU.
Back to the last interface, and select BOOT mode to operate again
Follow the BOOT wiring diagram to connect FC200 ECU programmer and ECU
Identify the ECU successfully this time
Read Pflash- it needs to select a password. When input a wrong password, backup the data failed.
Read Dflash- it reads the data fast, no need password, save the data after reading
Write Pflash- select the original Pflash data file to write, it also asks to select a password, just select the password or original file loading and click “Next step”
Write data successfully!
Write Dflash- select the original data to write successfully.
The BMW EDC17C50 is unlocked by FC200.
Connect CG FC200 and ECU in bench mode, and select “Platform” operation method.
Identify the ECU, read ISN and read PFlash data directly without password successfully now.
