How to clone a complete BMW Airbag ECU? In this post, we will show how to delete the BMW SRS crash that was involved in an accident using CG100 Prog III. The coding is needed afterwards. This method is used if you do not have a programmer who can code the new ECU in the car.
Airbag ECU model:
i.e. 2012 BMW 5 series F11 6577 9239985-01 MAC7241
First, connect device and airbag ECU
Follow the diagram in the CG100 software to connect CG100 and BMW airbag ECU via BDM+4 Adapter and welding line (pay attention to the numbers not colors)
Connect the device to computer via USB cable, and supply 12V power to it as well
Then, backup and compare the original PFLASH data and repair data
Go to Airbag function
Input 6577 to quickly obtain the corresponding BMW airbag ECU
Start to read the chip PFLASH data
Save the file after reading
Confirm to repair the airbag ECU
Select “Clear the fault code (preferred)” option
Repair erasing code and write chip PFLASH data
Repair successfully
Read chip data again and save the repaired data
Compare the original data and repair data
The repair data replace the accident one with FFF
Next, backup Flash, SHADOW, and S+F data
Back to the main menu
Enter Programmer function
Input mac to find MAC7241 chip
Read and save the Flash, SHADOW, and S+F data in sequence
It must be coded only if you delete the accident from its memory.
Finally, compare flash data and repair data/ S+F/ shadow data
Compare the flash data and repair data, there is no difference between them.
Compare the flash data and shadow data, they are different.
Compare the flash data and S+F data, they are also different.
