How to use CG100X to correct mileage on 2023 Toyota R7F701441 cluster?
Check the step-by-step guide below.
Tools and cluster required:
- CGDI CG100X Programmer
- CG100XD1 Adapter
- 2023 Toyota Frontlandercluster with R7F701441 MCU processor
Tips:
1.Make sure the software is updated to V1.7.0.0 or above
CG100X V1.7.0.0 supports the following Toyota models:
- Toyota BZ4/BX4 R7F701441
- Toyota Platinum 4X R7F701441
- Toyota Frontlander R7F701441
- Toyota Corolla R7F701441
- Toyota Levin R7F701441
- Removethe instrument cluster from the vehicle and carefully disassemble it to access the R7F701441 processor.
Operation guide:
1.Run CG100X software, refer to the wiring diagram to power on the instrument cluster.
The mileage will initially display as 0 km because it’s a brand-new cluster.
2.Select Dashboard>> Toyota>> Frontlander>> R7F701441
3.The process involves removing 4 capacitors (280nF) from the cluster. Follow the wiring diagram for the exact locations.
4.Use the D1 Adapter to connect CGDI CG100X and the Toyota cluster (required for the RH850 processor reading)
Do not extend the D1 adapter cable
Make sure the 12V power supply is connected to power the cluster during the process.
5.Start to read the chip ID for the processor verification
6.Read Dflash and Pflash data from the processor separately, and save the corresponding data
7.The CGDI CG100X has built-in algorithms tailored for the R7F701441 processor. Ensure your tool is connected to the internet so that these algorithms can calculate the actual mileage online.
- Check the current mileage on the cluster and verify it.
9.Enter the desired new mileage (i.e. 35554 KM), and click “OK”
10.CGDI CG100X Programmer will write the new mileage to the cluster
Wait a while until the process is complete
- 11. Afterthewriting is complete, disconnect the wires and solder the 4 capacitors back onto the cluster
12.Power on the Toyota cluster and confirm that the mileage on the cluster matches the one displayed in the CG100X software.
