Both CGDI A2 and CGDI MB support Mercedes-Benz key adding. What is the difference between them?
The CGDI A2 is a new-generation product from CGDI, integrating anti-theft key matching, frequency detection, and Wi-Fi connectivity in one device. It supports not only Mercedes-Benz, but also a wide range of other vehicle models, including Volkswagen MQB, Mazda CX-30, Toyota 8A/4A, Honda (2021 and newer), Nissan, and BMW BDC2 (2016 and newer).
Functions:
- Support password-free and disassembly-free matching for most vehicle models.
- Support automatic identification of Mercedes-Benz chassis numbers with rapid data collection.
- Support password-free CANFD system matching for general motors vehicles.
- Support Volkswagen MQB
- Support Mazda CX-30
- Support full smart card replacement (No physical card required) for Toyota 8A/4A systems.
- Support Honda smart key systems for models after 2021.
- Support 28-digit password-free matching for Nissan vehicles.
- Free update for BMW BDC2 systems (applicable to models from 2016 onwards).
A Mercedes- Benz License is required to use Mercedes-Benz-related functions.

Compared to CGDI Prog MB Key Programmer, CGDI A2 Programmer supports fewer functions.
Currently only supports the following 5 functions:
- EIS, calculate password, read and write key, generate key file, and wiring diagram.
More functions will be added later.
Note:
- Synchronize ELV is not added yet;
- Read new BGA key, CG PKE key upgrade, and switch CG key frequency in the read and write key are not added yet.
