Here is a new test report about CGDI prog BMW MSV80 key programmer incl. add new key, disable key and diagnosis for BMW X1.
Part 1: Add new key
Use the original key and blank key to start the BMW X1, the original key works normally, and the blank key failed.
Note: The car is CAS3+, need to downgrade. Downgrading on the vehicle must ensure that the vehicle voltage is stable. Charge the car batteries by other car. But if it’s not convenient, you’d better dismantle the ECU and downgrade with test platform.
Dismantle the CAS from the car, and plug the test cable into the CAS port, and then connect the ignition switch to the CAS module
Turn on the power switch and adjust the voltage to about 12V
Finish all the devices connection above, and then start to test
Step 1: program key
Open the CGDI BMW software
Select “BMW CAS1-3+ Key Match”-> “Read key info”
The system prompts “The OBD doesn’t be connected”
Connect the CAS to CGDI prog BMW via OBD, and click “OK”
Pay attention to the prompt “The current CAS version needs to be downgraded by programming, whether it needs to be downgraded or not. When programming CAS, please confirm that the car has enough power, and it is forbidden to disconnect the device during programming.”
Click “YES”
Prompts “Please remove the key from the ignition switch”
The key has been removed, just click “OK”
It takes about 10 minutes to program
Read out the key info successfully
Select one key unused (key 2) and click “Generate dealer key” to generate
Select the first mode to get the ISN code
Insert the original car key into CGDI prog BMW coil
Click “Next” button
Follow the prompt to take out the original key from CGDI prog BMW and insert the blank key
Return to CGDI BMW software and click “OK”
Check the prompt warning massage:
Whether the key currently programmed is a smart key?
Note: If it is a smart key, the key will be locked!
The key is a remote key, click “No”
Program key successfully
Insert the new key programmed into BMW key slot
It can work normally
Click “Read key info”
Read out the key data successfully
Save the relevant data to desktop
Step 2: Test
Reinstall the CAS back to the BMW X1
Test remote- OK
Start the car- OK
Part 2: Disable key
Insert the original key into the car ignition
Click “Read key info”
Select the key 1
Click “Disable Key” to disable the key used
Disable key successfully
Part 3: BMW Diagnosis
Select “BMW EWS Key Match”-> “BMW Diagnosis”
It prompts “Whether to scan the vehicle quickly?”
Click “Yes”
Read fault code succeed
Click “Clear all vehicle fault codes”
Clear all the fault codes successfully
Done!
