Customer problem:
I am having issues reading tcu with CGDI MB. It’s my first time using it. The 12v is connected. But when I am using it, tcu beeps and appears “read data failed” message.
Here are some users’ suggestions:
1.Do it on bench or read directly… use adapter or make adapter.
2.Use 120 ohm resistor between can lines.
3.Mine doesn’t read Ecu over obd. I’ve got a separate lead made that I plug on direct to read this unit. Do it on bench.

Please remove the TCU from the Benz car, and connect to a CGDI EGS & FCU Testing Cable (see the figure below) to work with CGDI Prog MB on bench. If still cannot read data, please add a 120 ohm resistor between CAN-L and CAN-H cables.
