This article comes with the guide to read and write MSV90 ISN by BMW AT200 no need opening the DME shell.
All need:
DME module: BMW MSV90
Device: BMW AT200 ECU programmer with ISN OBD cable + MSV90 write ISN authorization

Step-by-step to read &write ISN:
Enter AT200 software
Select the corresponding car brand, model, Engine- EGS and ECU
Click “Next” to enter operation page
Step 1: Wiring
Follow the wiring diagram in the first option to connect AT200 to MSV90 DME via ISN OBD cable
Step 2: Identify
Read out the DME chip, VIN ,model, etc.
Step 3: Read ISN
Getting ECU authorization…
Read out MSV90 ISN successfully
Step 4: Write ISN
Reading PFLASH…
Reading DFLASH…
Backup ISN data
An input box will appear when save the ISN data successfully
Fill in a new ISN which is different from the old one
Writing PFLASH
AT200 BMW write new ISN successfully
Read ISN again
The ISN read out is same as the new one
Step 5: Backup data
Backup the new ISN data successfully
Done!
